He lived in in Oud-Beijerland all of his life, and married there on 5 Oct 1796 with Hendrika Johannesse van der Laan, also from Oud-Beijerland, born in 1765, she died in in 1834. Jenneke was the oldest of 11 children, born even before Gerrit and Hendrika were married. 
3. Gerrit Lugtenburg was baptised on 28 Mar 1745 in Zuid-Beijerland, he married on 29 Nov 1761 in Oud-Beijerland withAnnigje van der Werf, baptised on 12 Jan 1741 in Oud-Beijerland.
