Famous Dutchmen
Many people think it is fun to see if they are related to well known people. There are even television shows about this item, like Verborgen Verleden (Hidden Past) and Verre Verwanten in the Netherlands and Who do you think you are? in the United Kingdom.
We have made some lists of ancestors of well known Dutchmen, mostly politicians. These lists obey the following rules:
- We have only used information from the public domain (interviews, websites authorized by the subjects themselves, newspaper adverts, and public records from the archives).
- To protect the privacy of living people, we only give the names of the parents, and no other information.
We hope you'll have fun discovering famous distant relatives, and would welcome your comments and questions. Also, if you can fill in some of the blanks in our documents, we'd like to hear from you.
You may freely copy these data for your own use. If you publicize them in any way, we only ask you to make a reference to our website, http://www.familyaffairs.nl.
